Provincial Consultation on Implementation of National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights

Ministry of Human Rights in collaboration with United Nations Development Programme,
Pakistan held a one-day consultation with all relevant Provincial government stakeholders as
well as private business entities representing wide range of businesses on implementation of
National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights (2021-2026) on 12th July, 2024 in Serena
Hotel, Peshawar. The session discussed important initiatives undertaken to implement NAP-
BHR specifically under priority areas two and three. The Department of Law, Parliamentary
Affairs & Human Rights shared updates about meetings of Provincial Steering Committee on
implementation on NAP-BHR.Further, the Human Rights Due Diligence Framework as adopted
by the Inter-Ministerial and Inter-Provincial Steering Committee on Implementation of NAP-
BHR was discussed quite extensively with all stakeholders for implementation. All stakeholders
shared updates and resolved to implement this plan with full commitment.
