Federal Secretary for Human Rights, Allah Dino Khowaja chaired a high-level meeting to discuss the digitalization of the disability certificate issuance mechanism for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). This initiative aims to streamline the process, reduce delays, and enhance accessibility. Representatives from the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination, PIMS, Polyclinic, NIRM, Chairman Medical Assessment Board Dr. Faridullah Zimri, and ED SPRC attended the meeting. Key decisions included developing an online application and tracking system, issuing digital certificates to replace physical copies, integrating NADRA’s database for seamless verification, and fostering collaboration among stakeholders from healthcare, social welfare, and IT sectors. Federal Secretary for Human Rights remarked, “This initiative will facilitate PWDs, ensuring their rights and dignity are respected. This digitization effort promises to bring convenience, efficiency, and empowerment to PWDs, aligning with the Ministry's commitment to inclusive development.”
