The Ministry of Human Rights organized a meeting with private business entities to discuss the German Act on Corporate Due Diligence and the EU Directive on Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence (CSDDD). Representatives from FPCCI, OICCI, Islamabad Industrial Association, SAARC Chambers, and Pakistan Business Council attended. The Federal Secretary MoHR highlighted that Pakistan's commerce sector already aligns with these human rights standards, addressing risks like child labor and environmental damage, as part of the National Action Plan. Private sector representatives committed to supporting further consultations and awareness efforts on due diligence in Pakistan’s business sector.
