The Ministry of Human Rights (MoHR), in collaboration with the European Union in Pakistan under the EU Huqooq-e-Pakistan II Project and UNDP Pakistan, organized a two-day workshop on the re-operationalization of the Human Rights Information Management System (HRIMS) in Lahore on 7–8 October 2026.

The Ministry of Human Rights (MoHR), in collaboration with the European Union in Pakistan under the EU Huqooq-e-Pakistan II Project and UNDP Pakistan, organized a two-day workshop on the re-operationalization of the Human Rights Information Management System (HRIMS) in Lahore on 7–8 October 2026.

The workshop focused on the installation and configuration of HRIMS equipment, orientation of Provincial Treaty Implementation Cell (TIC) staff, and capacity building of provincial line departments’ focal persons on indicator-based reporting, data entry, quality assurance, user management and reporting procedures.

During the workshop, Mr. Arfan Shabbir, Deputy Director (Human Rights), Ministry of Human Rights, highlighted the importance of HRIMS in strengthening human rights data collection, management and reporting. He emphasized that the system would facilitate timely and accurate data submission, support evidence-based analysis, and enhance coordination between Federal and Provincial institutions to fulfill Pakistan’s national and international human rights reporting obligations.
