Federal Minister for Human Rights, Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar chaired a review meeting on Pakistan’s Second Periodic Report under the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR). Representatives from federal and provincial governments came together to assess progress and prepare for the UN Human Rights Committee review in October 2024.

The meeting focused on strengthening human rights legislation, addressing challenges in ICCPR implementation, and ensuring close cooperation between federal and provincial stakeholders.
