On #WorldDayAgainstChildLabour 2025, Federal Minister for Human Rights Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar visited the Child Protection Institute in Islamabad. He met with children who are survivors of domestic abuse, forced marriages, and child labour, listened to their stories, and presented them with gifts as tokens of care and encouragement. The Minister said, "Child labour is a serious violation of children’s fundamental rights, robbing them of their future and well-being. The government is determined to eliminate this practice through stronger laws like the Employment of Children (Amendment) Act, strict enforcement, public awareness, and expanded social protection systems." The Minister emphasized that every citizen shares the responsibility to protect children and must immediately report any abuse or exploitation to Helpline 1121.
