MoHR in collaboration with World Health Organization (WHO)  and UNICEF Pakistan organized a National Preparatory Session in Islamabad ahead of the inaugural Ministerial Global Conference, set to take place in Bogotá, Colombia, in November 2024. The session was attended by the WHO Country Head, UNICEF representatives, the Chairperson of the National Commission on the Rights of Child - NCRC Pakistan, the Chairperson of the Child Protection & Welfare Bureau, Punjab, as well as representatives from the federal and provincial governments and civil society organizations.
Discussions centered on pledges to be presented at the Global Conference, with a focus on strengthening child protection mechanisms and developing comprehensive child protection policies at both federal and provincial levels.
